We have a wonderful team of passionate staff led by our Supervisor Megan Daly and Assistant Supervisor Tara Duncan. Leah Wayland, our office manager works in the office every morning and looks after all of Peppertree and Little Peppertree's administration.
Our staff are mostly fully qualified in Early Childhood or are in training. All of our qualified staff hold current first aid certificates. Our staff participate in professional development regularly including liasing with local schools, keeping upskilled with teaching and attending first aid refreshers.
Our adult to child ratio is regulated by the Ministry of Education. We endeavour to offer better than required ratios with one adult to four children in our nursery, one adult to six or seven children in our Preschool and ratios of between one adult to six children and one adult to nine children in our Prepschool.
From time to time you will see new faces at Peppertree. We try and keep these to a minimum through using our own Relieving Staff. Our relievers are screened carefully and trained up to our high standards so that when staff are on leave, our programme runs in the same way.
We are currently looking for casual relieving staff between 9am and 3pm. Applicants should have experience with children, have good communications skills, be conscientous and reliable . If you are interested please see Leah at our Peppertree office between 9 am and 1pm.
Students and Visitors
We have students at Peppertree during term times who are studying towards an Early Childhood Qualification. Students are screened by their teaching Institution and are supervised by our Staff. Students, Volunteers and Visitors are required to sign in when arriving at Peppertree.
